We have had chronic issues with our dryer vent clogging up. The dryer vent exits on our roof, alongside an exhaust fan vent, where both pipes are covered by a cap with a screen. Due to this unique situation, frequent cleanings had become necessary, not to mention difficult. We noticed an ad for Get the Lint Out, LLC and decided to call them. What a great decision that was! Not only was our vent properly cleaned out, but a modification to the cap was made, thereby improving the effectiveness of the dryer vent. When making my appointment, I had to wait less than 5 days. Scott arrived on time and got right to work. Scott went into my attic and took pictures of my duct work so I could see first hand a potential problem. After cleaning the duct, the air velocity was good and Scott did not have to repair anything in the attic. Scott is a honest reliable technician and I highly recommend his service.

Scott was able to come the day after I called to take care of our faulty dryer vent system. He quickly assessed the problem as a blocked vent (which resulted in longer drying times and lots of lint not passing into vent), went up into the attic and found compounding issues. He worked a couple of hours to get all the years of accumulation out, nearly 5 gallons! He used his hi volume vac to remove from top and bottom and then blow back out the top at the end to make sure it was clear. I was shocked and then so grateful for his expert help. He also took photos to show his findings along the way. He was courteous, helpful in explaining how our system worked (and didn’t), understanding that i hadn’t thought to get it cleaned before now, etc. He did not try to sell me a new vent system, but clearly worked hard to get this one up and running again at top efficiency. I will recommend him to all my neighbors, especially those with older homes like this one. Scott is very professional, and very good at what he does.
